Le mot sanskrit Kundalini peut être traduit par “serpent femelle enroulé”.

Le serpent est notre énergie qui s’enroule à la base de notre colonne vertébrale et représente la partie féminine de Dieu.

Le divin en nous a un côté masculin et un côté féminin.
Adi Shakti est la puissance féminine qui englobe ananda (félicité), chit (conscience pure) et Prema (amour).

Kundalini shakti est l’énergie même de la conscience qui, lorsqu’elle est éveillée, permet d’atteindre des états de conscience plus élevés, y compris le samadhi.

Le Kundalini Yoga comprend une variété de techniques utilisées pour éveiller et faire monter l’énergie à travers les chakras en utilisant différents asanas, pranayamas, mantras et mudras.

Shiva et Shakti

L’un de ces pôles a une qualité statique et reste identifié à la conscience non manifestée.
Cette qualité est appelée shiva et est conceptualisée comme masculine.

Shiva a le pouvoir d’être, mais pas celui de devenir ou d’agir.
Il est le détenteur du pouvoir mais n’a pas d’énergie propre.

L’autre pôle est un aspect dynamique, énergétique et créatif appelé shakti – personnifié comme Shakti, la grande mère de l’univers.

C’est d’elle que naissent toutes les formes.
Shakti est la plus subtile des choses créées.
Elle se manifeste sous la forme de l’univers tout entier : la matière, la vie et l’esprit.

Shakti est une projection de la conscience pure qui voile la conscience avec les innombrables manifestations illusoires(maya) qu’elle engendre.
C’est ce que nous appelons l’univers.

Ces deux principes – Shiva et Shakti – sont unis, mais dans le monde, nous savons qu’une illusion de séparation est créée entre la conscience pure et ses manifestations.
Cela conduit à la confusion et à une mauvaise interprétation de notre monde ou à prendre l’irréel pour le réel.

Selon le tantra, l’être humain est un univers en miniature.
Tout ce qui se trouve dans le cosmos se trouve dans chaque individu, et les mêmes principes qui s’appliquent à l’univers s’appliquent à l’individu.

Chez les êtres humains, le surplus d’énergie qui n’est pas utilisé pour maintenir le fonctionnement de l’organisme est également décrit symboliquement comme un serpent enroulé.

Cette énergie potentielle reposerait à la base de la moelle épinière, au niveau du chakra Muladhara (support de la racine), où elle est appelée kundalini.
Cette kundalini est le support statique de tout le corps et de ses forces praniques.

Les personnes qui ont un accès contrôlé à l’expérience inconsciente disposent d’une énergie, d’une perspicacité et d’une créativité abondantes.

La transformation du pouvoir de la shakti en une forme active est appelée l’éveil de la kundalini.

Le kundalini yoga consiste à éveiller cette shakti kundalini et à la conduire systématiquement à travers chacun des chakras jusqu’au chakra Sahasrara.
Lorsque la shakti remonte jusqu’au sommet, en dynamisant chaque centre en cours de route, l’éveil est total.

Ce yoga, ou union, peut être compris comme l’union de la kundalini shakti avec Shiva (la conscience pure).
Cette union est le but du yogi.

Ces méthodes sacrées, systématiques et avancées pour atteindre la conscience transcendante ont été déformées.

Dans les versions déformées de ces types de yoga, nous entendons souvent parler d’exercices de respiration brutaux et d’affirmations infondées de la part des enseignants selon lesquelles ils suscitent directement cette énergie chez les élèves par leur simple toucher ou leur présence.

Pour éveiller véritablement la kundalini, une préparation est nécessaire.
Sans une longue et patiente pratique de la purification et du renforcement de notre capacité à assimiler un tel flot d’énergie, l’éveil de cette puissance nous perturberait et nous troublerait.

Si, grâce à un entraînement minutieux, nous sommes parvenus à reconnaître et à maîtriser nos démons inconscients, ce n’est qu’à ce moment-là que nous sommes prêts à affronter le plein éveil de ce qui est latent en nous.

On pense que la shakti contient non seulement de l’énergie latente, mais aussi des souvenirs latents.

L’enseignant qui représente une tradition authentique qui enseigne les méthodes d’éveil de la kundalini ne les révélera jamais complètement à un étudiant non préparé, mais fera de son mieux pour le préparer.

La préparation à l’éveil de la kundalini est plus importante que l’éveil de la kundalini.

Méthodes de préparation à l’éveil de la kundalini

Techniques physiques

L’organisme doit être préparé à tolérer la baisse d’énergie.

Les séquences de postures physiques, de chants et de techniques respiratoires spéciales sont appelées Kriyas et aident l’énergie spirituelle à la base de la colonne vertébrale à s’élever et à créer un alignement énergétique.

Un cours typique de Kundalini Yoga commence par un échauffement ou une mise au point, suivi d’exercices de respiration, de chants sanskrits et d’Asanas (poses) physiques qui font circuler l’énergie vers le haut et à travers les chakras.

Chanter

Une façon courante de se mettre au diapason et de commencer une pratique de la Kundalini est de chanter la phrase sanskrite “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo”, ce qui signifie “Je m’incline devant la sagesse créatrice, je m’incline devant l’enseignant divin qui est en moi”.

Pranayama

En sanskrit, appelé Agni Pran et étroitement lié à Kapalbhati, le souffle de feu est une technique de pranayama puissante et détoxifiante qui réchauffe le corps, nettoie les poumons et les sinus, et aide le corps à guérir et à se renforcer.

Le souffle de feu utilise votre diaphragme comme un soufflet de cheminée ; vous inspirez et expirez rapidement de vos poumons à un rythme régulier, comme un chien qui halète.

Le mouvement rapide de l’oxygène stimule votre corps et votre esprit.

Il est essentiel d’avoir une bonne pratique du pranayama avant d’incorporer cette technique de respiration dans votre pratique du yoga.

Comme la méthode utilise les muscles de l’estomac pour pousser fortement le diaphragme, il est également important d’être en bonne condition physique lors de la pratique de cette technique.

Si vous souffrez de problèmes cardiaques ou d’hypertension, de troubles de la colonne vertébrale, d’une infection respiratoire ou de vertiges, vous ne devez PAS pratiquer le Souffle de feu.
Pour les femmes en particulier, si vous êtes enceinte, ne pratiquez pas le Souffle de feu.

Asseyez-vous, la colonne vertébrale bien droite, et commencez à haleter comme un chien.
Lorsque vous inspirez, votre ventre se gonfle et se contracte à un rythme court et rapide lorsque vous expirez.

L’inspiration est passive et l’expiration est puissante.

Asanas

L’éradicateur d’ego

– Cet exercice peut être réalisé en position facile ou en position de rocher.
– Levez les bras jusqu’à un angle de 60 degrés.
– Gardez les coudes droits et les épaules basses.
– Levez les pouces comme si vous les branchiez sur le ciel.
– Repliez les doigts sur leur base, étirez les paumes et tirez les jointures vers l’arrière.
– Concentrez vos yeux sur le chakra du troisième œil et commencez à respirer le feu.

Pose du chat et de la vache en position assise

– En position assise facile, saisissez vos genoux ou la cheville avant avec les deux mains.
– Prenez conscience du centre de votre cœur.
– En gardant les yeux fermés, inspirez en levant le regard, en tirant le cœur vers l’avant pour Cow Pose, et expirez en arrondissant la colonne vertébrale pour Cat Pose.

Mouvements de la colonne vertébrale

– En position facile, posez vos mains sur vos genoux.
– Faites le tour de la colonne vertébrale dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre, en faisant vibrer et en broyant la colonne thoracique et l’abdomen.
– Inspirez en tournant vers l’avant et expirez en tournant vers l’arrière.
– À mi-parcours, changez de direction.

Torsion des épaules

– Placez le bout de vos doigts gauches sur votre épaule gauche et faites de même du côté droit.
– En gardant vos coudes alignés avec vos épaules et parallèles au sol, commencez à tourner à gauche et à droite.
– Inspirez à gauche et expirez à droite.
– Faites vibrer le mantra Sat Nam (Je suis la vérité) dans votre tête pendant que vous tournez (Sat à gauche, Nam à droite),
– Laissez votre tête suivre les mouvements de votre colonne vertébrale.

Grenouilles

– Tenez-vous debout sur vos orteils, les pieds à 45 degrés, les talons se touchant et les genoux profondément pliés sur le côté, les mains reposant sur le sol.
– En inspirant, redressez les genoux, levez les hanches vers le ciel, gardez la tête basse, les mains reposant sur le sol et les talons se touchant.
– Revenez à la position de départ en levant la tête et en abaissant les hanches en expirant.
– Poursuivre rapidement avec une respiration puissante.
– Pour terminer, mettez-vous debout, les pieds à plat sur le sol, et prenez cinq longues et profondes respirations par le nez.
Sentez l’énergie monter le long de vos jambes et atteindre vos chakras supérieurs.

Pose de l’archer

– Commencez par la position de la montagne (Tadasana).

Concentration et méditation

La Kundalini peut également être éveillée par une concentration et une méditation intenses sur des nerfs sensoriels spécifiques, tels que le bout du nez ou la racine de la langue, et sur des chakras particuliers.

La méditation sur un chakra, la répétition d’un mantra particulier et, dans certains cas, une visualisation (yantra) peuvent éveiller l’énergie et l’amener à ce centre.

Tantra

L’union de Shakti et de Shiva est cultivée dans le tantra yoga.

Signes d’éveil

L’éveil de la kundalini s’accompagne de signes clairs et indéniables.
Au début, il peut y avoir des secousses involontaires du corps, des tremblements et une intense sensation de plaisir.

L’une des premières manifestations les plus courantes est l’expérience de la chaleur lorsque l’énergie traverse un centre particulier.

On dit que la méditation culmine dans l’union de Shiva et de Shakti au niveau du chakra Sahasrara.
Il s’agit de l’état le plus transcendant et le plus complet que l’on puisse expérimenter, où la conscience individuelle fusionne avec la conscience divine.

Les Upanishads déclarent que sans une méthode systématique de méditation (dhyana yoga), l’éveil de la kundalini n’est pas possible.

Les grands sages ont fait l’expérience de l’union de la conscience individuelle et de la conscience cosmique par la méditation.
