Elastaan is een synthetische vezel die is afgeleid van polyurethaanpolymeren.

De productie van elastaan bestaat uit meerdere stappen, van polymerisatie tot texturering.
\nAls de vezels eenmaal gevormd zijn, ondergaan ze een wikkelproces om garens te maken, klaar om tot stoffen te weven of te breien.
